Delhi govt gives 30% subsidy on BOVs
As the fuel prices peaking up, govt offered a 30% subsidy on battery run vehicles. This is a good move to encourage this new technology vehicles with zero emissions. Best of all is the you dont need to use any petrol or deisel.
Govt is expecting the electric vehicle market should not be limited to 4-wheelers but also in two and three wheelers too. Battery vehicles can be charged up to 50 paise per km. The are clutchless, noiseless and completely pollution free.
Currently REVA is the only manufacturer of battery cars in India. Still they haven't got many customers in India. Those who purchase the vehicle for use in Delhi
1. Will get refund on the 12.5% VAT.
2. Those who registering the vehicle in Capital will get refund of 2%.
3. All dealers will get 15% subsidy on the base price of each vehicle.
All other state governments should follow the footsteps of Delhi govt to promote battery run vehicles.
